Yates has lived in the Charlottesville area since 1974 and has been a Realtor since 1983. She joined Stevens and Company in 1986 and became an Associate Broker in 1991. Yates grew up in a real estate family in Virginia, led by her father onto building and restoration sites and was coached from an early age in the art of buying, selling and negotiation.
Yates' career path, including work in education, social services, fundraising and mediation, provides the background to understand and meet the needs of diverse clients. She has lived and worked in Paris, New York City, Maine, and Colorado, on the Navajo Reservation in Utah, in Washington, DC and in Charlottesville. Because Yates is bilingual in French, having lived in Europe and traveled extensively, she is also well equipped to serve international clients. From starting and running her own business (Montessori schools), Yates understands first-hand the needs of business clients and families.
Yates has three adult children who grew up in Charlottesville and Albemarle County. She has volunteered regionally on local boards that advocate for children and the environment, and currently serves on the Board of the Alliance Française. She has also been on the national board for the Montessori Administrators Council, and has served Hollins University on the Parents' Council, as a fundraiser, and as President of the Charlottesville Alumnae Association.
Yates takes pleasure in helping people through transitions, when they are ready to list and sell their properties or to find new properties to fit new needs. For both residential and commerical property, you can entrust Yates Nobles with your real estate needs. |
