A twenty-seven-year veteran of the Charlottesville real estate market, Margie Burris joined Stevens and Company in 1987. She moved to Charlottesville shortly after getting married and has watched the area evolve from a beautiful and historical but somewhat sleepy university town into the economically thriving and culturally ambitious city it is today. Margie has marketed and sold fine homes, estates, farms and land in both Maryland and Virginia.
Whether representing the first time buyer or the experienced real estate investor, Margie consistently provides thorough and objective guidance to her clients in a non-pressured environment. Her knowledge and expertise in successfully bringing buyer and seller together through skillful negotiation has earned her numerous awards.
In addition to a successful real estate career, Margie has made time for extensive involvement in the Charlottesville and University of Virginia communities. She has devoted her energies to volunteering with various cultural and charitable organizations including the Second Street Gallery, the UVA Medical Center, the Virginia Festival of American Film, The Paramount Theater, and UVA's Bayly Art Museum.
Margie, her husband Gordon, and their three children and five grandchildren all agree that the physical beauty of the area and its moderate climate in combination with the warmth of its inhabitants and the University's offerings have held the family captive for over thirty-one years. |
